At the Faculty, you'll learn from our teachers. Most of them have an international background (training, fieldwork, research projects, international cooperation, international mandates, etc.) and maintain numerous contacts with universities and colleagues abroad.

Erasmus partners

The FaSS has 69 Erasmus agreements with Belgian and foreign universities:

  • 56 agreements with universities in the European Union
  • 13 agreements with universities outside the European Union.

Codiplomation Eumigs

The master in Sociology with a specialization in Migration studies is a master's degree organized entirely in English. It is part of the EuMIGS network. This is the largest European network of universities in the field of migration studies. It involves 13 partner institutes in 9 European countries, 7 of which are part of the double-degree Master's program.

UNIC Consortium of European Universities

UNIC is an alliance of ten universities anchored in ten specific post-industrial urban ecosystems, dedicated to developing new European learning, working and research models that will shape the university of the future.

Research

Themes & fields

Many of our researchers, both Belgian and of foreign origin, work on themes and research projects that transcend national borders or are rooted in a variety of geographical areas. Our researchers spend long periods in their respective research fields, collecting data using methods specific to the Social Sciences.

Links with society

Our researchers and teachers are involved in international projects, for example :

  • via the laboratory OMER, participation in the Institutional Support Projects ofARESwhich are part of a policy of cooperation and exchange between higher education establishments in the South and higher education establishments in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Belgium.
