Buildings and classrooms
Most of the courses in the programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences are located on the Sart Tilman campus, in buildings B31, B33, B7 and B4. Depending on teaching needs and availability of classrooms, they can also be located in other buildings on the Sart Tilman campus or in buildings in the city center. In Celcat on myULiège, the room is indicated for each class session or exam.
The administrative services of the Faculty of Social Sciences are located in building B31, in the left wing, one floor below the main entrance hall.
The login and password received at the Erasmus Office provide access to the Internet via Wifi network in all the University buildings and to the University's IT platforms, including the myULiège portal. With myULiège, you can:
- find the courses in which you are registered,
- consult news and download files related to your courses,
- access your personalized timetable when your course registration is finalized,
- get access to your @student.uliege.be e-mail address.
Your ULiège student e-mail address is important because it is the communication channel that will be used for your study stay, the examinations, the transcript of records, etc. It is essential to activate it as soon as possible and to check it regularly. It can also be forwarded to another e-mail address.
Examination sessions
Students have the opportunity to take the evaluation of a course twice (two chances). The 1st session (1st chance) is organized directly after the teaching period (January for the Fall semester, June for the Spring semester). The 2nd session (2nd chance) is organized between August 16 and September 13 (during the 3rd term).

Registration for exams
Exchange students are automatically registered for the 1st session evaluations of the courses listed in their study plan. Their exam schedule will be available in CELCAT at the latest one month before the beginning of each session.
If the evaluation is an oral exam and the teacher is testing over several days, the student may have to register for one of the proposed dates and can choose the date that suits him/her best. In this case, practical information for this registration will be provided to the students via the teacher during the course and / or via the faculty administrative services that organize the exam by email or in the news on myULiège.
Special examination procedures for exchange students
Exchange students must take their exams in the same way and under the same conditions as ULiège students. Nevertheless, teachers and faculties may, if circumstances justify it, decide to grant special examination periods and modalities to exchange students who express a request. To do so, the student must contact the professors concerned and the faculty coordinator at the beginning of the term.
Successful completion and 2nd examination session
The minimum grade to pass a course is 10/20.
If a student fails at a course evaluation and wishes to take it a second time, he/she will have to register for the second session after his/her transcript has been sent. Practical information will be sent to the students concerned at that time.
More information about the exams and the grading system of ULiège
For more information on the transcript of records and registration for the second session, see the section "At the end of the stay" below.
At the end of the stay
Certificate of departureAs for your arrival certificate, you must go to the Erasmus Office (place du XX-Août) to have your departure certificate signed. This procedure must be carried out just after your exams.
An official transcript of records (ToR) including the grade distribution table at ULiège will be sent to your home university and to you after your mobility, when the exams are over and all the results are submitted:
- for the 1st semester study stay: at the end of February,
- for the 2nd semester and the whole academic year study stay: at the beginning of July,
- for the results of the 2nd session: mid-September.
More information about the exams and the grading system of ULiège
After sending their transcript, students who fail an exam in the first session (January or June) will receive an automatically generated e-mail from myULiège inviting them to register for the second session, if they wish.
Taking the 2nd session is not mandatory. A student who has received several failing grades is not obliged to retake the exams of all the courses he/she has not passed. He/she may choose to register for only one or the other 2nd session exam.
If you have difficulty registering for the second session, contact the faculty coordinator at mobil.fass@uliege.be.
